As per the IAMAW Constitution, members may qualify to vote by Absentee Ballot if they:
\n<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. a) \u00a0Reside more than forty (40) kilometers from the polling place;<\/li>\n
  2. b) \u00a0Are confined by verified illness;<\/li>\n
  3. c) \u00a0Are on vacation, official Union business, employment assignment, military leave or leave\u00a0qualifying under Canadian Family Leave Law<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Members applying for Absentee Ballots must do so in writing and must ensure that their request is\u00a0delivered to their Local Lodge Recording Secretary, by hand or by Canada Post.
    \nAbsentee Ballot requests must be received<\/span><\/b> by the Local Lodge Recording Secretary no later than thirty\u00a0(30) days before the election.<\/p>\n

    Eligibility for Absentee Ballots will be determined by the Local Lodge Recording Secretary and Secretary-Treasurer, before the Ballot is mailed.<\/i><\/p>\n

    Members found not to be eligible to vote by Absentee Ballot will be notified within ten (10) days of receipt of their application.<\/p>\n

    Deadline for absentee ballots will be\u00a0 Monday November\u00a0 18, 2013. <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

    Vice-President Election will be held\u00a0 on\u00a0 Tuesday December \u00a017th<\/sup> 2013<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

    The Recording secretary will be available on Monday\u2019s and Saturday\u2019s from 09:30-18:30\u00a0 in the Local Lodge office located in Terminal 1 domestic arrivals ( Chief stewards office).<\/p>\n
