As you are all aware, the election for the Vice- President position took place on Tuesday December 17th 2013. A written challenge was brought forward by a screener member to the IAM.<\/p>\n
The Constitution states that in order for member to be eligible to vote they must be a member in good standing and have paid their membership dues as per Article 2 Section 4<\/p>\n
After an investigation was carried out, Grand lodge had discovered and found 18 non-eligible members had voted. It was clear that the amount of non-eligible members who voted was greater than the difference between the top candidates and as a result a decision to reschedule the election was made by Grand Lodge.<\/p>\n
As information regarding the re-election is made available in line with the IAM bylaws and Constitution, it will be brought to the attention of the membership.<\/p>\n
