The Grand Lodge International President, Brother Robert Martinez, has confirmed by letter dated December 16, 2019 that ONLY Local Lodge 1763 will be required to \u201cRE-RUN\u201d the election which was previously held on November 13, 2019 for the General Chairperson Atlantic Region AT Large
Designated Position. The results from Local Lodges 927 and 2797 will stand.
Further to Transportation District 140 Bylaws, Article 11.01.06:
\u201cThere shall be one (1) designated General Chairperson for the Atlantic Provinces who shall be nominated by and elected AT Large by only those members who are employed in and whoseLocal Lodge is located in the Atlantic Provinces. Members represented by the designated
Atlantic Canada General Chairperson shall not be eligible to vote for either the designated Service or the designated Air Canada General Chairpersons in the Eastern Region. They are eligible to vote for all Eastern Region AT Large General Chairpersons.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Local Lodge 1763 will hold a re-run election on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 for the General Chairperson Atlantic Region At Large Designated Position. The candidates are listed below in alphabetical order (family name).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
