{"id":5354,"date":"2023-02-08T09:45:00","date_gmt":"2023-02-08T14:45:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/screeners.iamaw.ca\/?p=5354"},"modified":"2023-02-08T13:38:39","modified_gmt":"2023-02-08T18:38:39","slug":"2023-dues-rate-increase","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/screeners.iamaw.ca\/?p=5354","title":{"rendered":"2023 Dues rate increase"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Dear Sisters and Brothers,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Local Lodge 2921 has been notified by the Grand Lodge and District Lodge 140 regarding their 2023 per capita increase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Effective February 9 2023, Local Lodge 2921 is required to raise the dues as per capita. The current monthly &nbsp;per capita increase from January 2022 to January 2023 is $4.36. &nbsp;<br><br>The &nbsp;breakdown for 2023 monthly per capita increase is as follows:<br><strong>Grand Lodge<\/strong> $ 3.21<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>District Lodge 140<\/strong> &nbsp;$ 1.15<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Per Capita is the amount of money due to the Grand Lodge and District 140 to be members of the association with the inclusion of all affiliation fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As per our local lodge bylaws, Article 4 Section C, any future increase in per capita tax will automatically increase the dues by an equal amount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Article 4 Section C Paragraph 3 is as follows:<\/strong><strong><\/strong><br>Notwithstanding the provisions of these bylaws, any future increase in per capita tax or any other assessment, instituted by and Grand Lodge\/District Lodge action or approval, thereof, then current Lodge dues shall automatically be increased by an amount equal to such tax or assessment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Therefore, the union dues for Local Lodge 2921 will be increased to $31.82 biweekly. &nbsp;<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please be guided accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regards,<br><strong>IAMAW Local Lodge 2921<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div data-wp-interactive=\"\" class=\"wp-block-file\"><object data-wp-bind--hidden=\"!selectors.core.file.hasPdfPreview\" hidden class=\"wp-block-file__embed\" data=\"http:\/\/screeners.iamaw.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/2023-Dues-Increase-Bulletin-1-2.pdf\" type=\"application\/pdf\" style=\"width:100%;height:600px\" aria-label=\"Embed of Embed of 2023-Dues-Increase-Bulletin-1-2..\"><\/object><a href=\"http:\/\/screeners.iamaw.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/2023-Dues-Increase-Bulletin-1-2.pdf\">2023-Dues-Increase-Bulletin-1-2<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/screeners.iamaw.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/2023-Dues-Increase-Bulletin-1-2.pdf\" class=\"wp-block-file__button\" download>Download<\/a><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Sisters and Brothers, Local Lodge 2921 has been notified by the Grand Lodge and District Lodge 140 regarding their 2023 per capita increase.
