Negotiations Update 2

Dear Brothers and Sisters, Your Negotiations team attended Negotiations training at the IAM’s training facility in Hollywood, Maryland the week of Aug 13, 2023. Your Negotiations Team had classes with our lawyer, pension expert and reviewed the bargaining survey results with the help of our economist. The Team started preparations and built proposals for our upcoming round of negotiations. Preparations will continue into the fall. We are looking forward to getting back to the bargaining table to ensure the Toronto screeners have the best collective agreementin the country.

GARDA SCREENERS ARBITRATION UPDATE 2023 AUGUST 16, 2023

Dear Brothers and Sisters,Your Union would like to provide you with an update regarding the arbitration process in 2023. In the NPST cases, six (6) out of the thirteen (13) terminated Screeners currently undergoing arbitration have been reinstated with pay. They are now awaiting CATSA’s decision on certification. Hello Brother Tayeb,On August 9th 2023, a General Chairperson Review Committee met and reviewed the outstanding policy grievances filed by you on the Memberships behalf regarding the mandatory vaccination policy implemented by Garda.
