Letter to YYZ Screeners

We are almost there!  And there is nothing to be afraid of anymore!

Don’t allow the CAWU to intimidate you anymore. Tell them that you have had enough!

Many Toronto Airport screeners have told us that the CAWU Executive and their supporters are using fear, intimidation, harassment and threats to prevent you from having real representation.

It is against Canadian law to harass and intimidate people. There are rules in place to prevent this type of animal behaviour.

To think this is still going on in 2011, especially in Canada, is shocking.

HOW MUCH LONGER ARE YOU GOING TO PUT UP WITH THIS BEHAVIOUR.

The IAM does not tolerate this type of behaviour. We have it enshrined into our bylaws and constitution.

You are not alone. There are over 1600 screeners working in Toronto, and together we can all tell the CAWU NO – STOP – GO AWAY – WE DON’T WANT YOU ANYMORE

Lets all join together and say goodbye to CAWU If we stick together, and act as a solid group, we can do it. There are only a few of them. They can do you no harm.

We urge you to come out in full strength and help yourselves get out of this dark atmosphere and sign an IAM card.

Its time to get together and become brothers and sisters and tell CAWU to TAKE A HIKE!

Seek out an IAM volunteer and proudly ask for an IAM card and sign it as soon as possible.

Let’s show them that an overwhelming majority of screeners do not want them anymore.

It is time for change. Choose experience, stability, transparency, and solidarity. Choose the IAM and sign a card today!!
