Congratulations to all Screeners on their new CBA,which received an 82% in favour of the new agreement.
Here are a few items that Screeners have asked to have clarified.
•The addition of more arbitrators is to ensure an unbiased verdict when it comes to the arbitration procedure. and to have more options.
•Full time employees who want to become part time will keep their seniority date.
•Vacation is now Sunday to Saturday. This ensures that screeners with seniority are able to pick the vacation days they want. This new process for vacation bid will not take place until the next vacation bid.
•Thursday, May 28, 2015, should have the new pay rate included in the pay.
•Full time screeners should be receiving $800 and part time $400 May 28, 2015. It will be on the same day as screeners regular pay but will be paid separately.
•Daily transfers from terminal to terminal is now based off of seniority.
Screeners will soon be able to work a surplus of 40 hours per week by choice. The company will post more information when the system is ready.
