Who is the newest member of your Local lodge Executive?

My name is Shilpa Athwal, I am the newly appointed Communicator for Local Lodge 2921 screeners at Toronto Pearson.

I was born in India, came to Canada when I was three old and completed my schooling in Canada. Gardaworld, formally known as Garda of Canada, hired me as a level 3 Screening Officer on 26th June 2006, and than as a Point leader on 16th November 2007. Immediately following the change in positon by the company, I became a Training Point Leader in March 2013. I have been a Trainer ever since.

After accepting the appointment as the communicator for Local Lodge 2921, my goals are to keep all of our members updated with union activities. I believe this will benefit our members on a daily basis.

It is with great pleasure and excitement that I take on this new position where I intend to share the latest information from your Local Executive, your union, and the world of labour.
