Congratulations! You did it!
We are happy to report that the IAM has now filed with the Canadian Labour Board and a vote to elect your new union will be held in February.
It has been a long road for all of you and soon you will reap the benefits and can finally say goodbye to the CAWU and get the representation and respect that you both need and deserve.
Be proud of what you have just accomplished but, there is still a lot more to do.
The IAM would like to thank all of the Garda employees for your support and we look forward to providing you with strong leadership in the near future.
It is very important now to stay focused on the next and final stage of this process: THE VOTE. Don’t be mis-lead by the many lies and beliefs being spread by supporters of the CAWU.
It won’t be long before you will have your say at the polling stations. Send the CAWU back to where they came from!
In the next few weeks we will be updating you with the information you need to know to get you to that final stage.
Stay strong! There is light at the end of what has been a long dark tunnel. You deserve to have a union that has your best interests at heart and will represent you with the dignity and respect you deserve and one that will LISTEN to what you want.
2012 is your year! Let’s make it a great year.
