CHIEF SHOP STEWARD NOMINATIONS YYZ TERMINAL 1 , 3 & YTZ 5
Chief Shop Steward Nominations will be taking place from 12:00am on Monday May 7th to 11:59pm on Tuesday May 8th 2018.
CHIEF SHOP STEWARD QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have attended at least 50% of the Local Lodge 2921 Monthly Membership meetings in the 12 months preceding nominations, must have signed an IAM card by May 8 2017 and have not served a management position temporary or permanent for a period of 3 years prior to the date of nomination.
Bylaw of Local Lodge no. 2921 Article 2 Section I
A member may be excused from attendance to the Local Lodge monthly meeting due to work schedule, employer out of town assignment, sick leave, bereavement leave, compassionate leave, union business, or scheduled vacation. In these cases the member will be considered as having been in attendance. Evidence in support of any excused attendance must be provided to the Recording Secretary prior to or at the time of nomination.
ALL EXCUSED ATTENDANCES ARE TO BE SUBMITTED DIRECTLY TO THE RECORDING SECRETARY PRIOR TO THE CLOSE OF NOMINATION ON MAY 8 2018
CHIEF SHOP STEWARD NOMINATION FORMS WILL BE AVAILABLE MAY 7TH 2018. (At your Local Lodge Office and online at Screeners.iamaw.ca)
The appropriate Nomination Form must be directly submitted to the Recording Secretary via email (cbarone@screeners.iamaw.ca), via fax 905-673-2566 or in person at the Local Lodge.
Members may only apply for the available position(s) at their respective terminal.
The Recording Secretary will be available in the Local Lodge Office on May 7 & 8 2018 from 10:00-20:00. The Local Lodge office is located in Terminal 1 Domestic arrival level.
If there are more volunteers than positions available, Local Lodge 2921 will hold elections and will advise you through a bulletin with a list of Candidates’ names and position along with the Election details. Election dates for the above mentioned position will take place within the 2 weeks following the close of Nominations
