GREAT NEWS!!! The Canada Industrial Relations Board has ruled that Toronto Screeners will determine their own future by proceeding to a vote on which union they want to represent them.

After more than a year of dealing with intimidation, threats and secret deals, Toronto Screeners can proudly say, “I stood strong and now I WILL DECIDE.”
In its concise and explicit 7-page decision, the Board stated that the IAM “… has majority support among members of the bargaining unit.” The Board further said that they would call for a vote to “allow the employees to express their wishes with respect to union representation.”

The Board has appointed Ms. Natalie Zawadowsky , Regional Director for the Board’s Ontario Region to act as the Returning Officer. She will provide us with details of the upcoming electronic vote. We will share that information as soon as it is available.
