CAWU’s attempt to keep you from voting

It has come to the attention of the IAM that this weekend the CAWU is showing Toronto Screeners at Pearson, a document that they have forged using the IAM’s logo on it. This document “alleges” that the IAM has secretly made a deal with Garda and that you will lose all the things you currently have in your contract. CAWU will only show you the document at the front of each of the checkpoints but will not allow you to have a copy. That is because it is yet another one of their dirty tricks to try to sway you from voting for the IAM.

These are falsified documents. The IAM is not your union and therefore CANNOT bargain anything with Garda until the elections are held and you have made your choice. The IAM has not met with nor made any agreements with Garda to date.

We can assure you that the IAM will pursue any and all legal action against CAWU.
