You may also submit a notice in person to: Robert Savoie – IAMAW Representative. He will be available at each terminal from Monday to Friday throughout the day.
If there are more volunteers than positions available, we will hold elections and will advise you through a bulletin with a list of Candidates’ names and election details
Between now and the end of the election process a list of temporary Shop Stewards will be posted to make sure the membership is properly represented.
Once the Shop Stewards are elected training will follow.
4. The second step will be to hold nominations for the “Negotiations Committee” which will also include training for those members chosen. Further details will be posted after the Shop Steward elections have been completed
I hope these steps clarify and answer some of the questions you may have had about what is taking place now that you have joined the IAM.
In solidarity,
Carlos DaCosta
Transportation Coordinator (March 20, 2012)
