Negotiations Update #3
Over the last six months, we have been attempting to negotiate a new collective bargaining agreement. Negotiations have been very tough but your committee continues to fight. Driven by our mandate from our members and the survey results, we have been negotiating non – monetary items such as but not limited to recall, job security, technological change and improved language around Health and Safety and Human Rights. On the monetary side, we have been attempting to negotiate items, such as but not limited to, improved benefits, wages, increases to the pension and improved vacation/leaves. It is very hard to convey in a bulletin all the items, which our members have told us are a priority, that we have been fighting hard to improve. Unfortunately, we have been unable to finalize anything to date. Our next scheduled date to negotiate is March 18, 2021. We will keep you updated as things progress.

We appreciate your patience, support and solidarity. Together, moving as one and speaking with one voice, we can improve our standard of living.
