2023 IAM North American Transportation Conference Delegate Nomination & Election
Dear Brothers and Sisters:
Please be advised that Local Lodge 2921 will be conducting the nominations and election for 4 (four) delegates to the 2023 IAM North American Transportation conference during our upcoming Local Lodge 2921 monthly membership meeting on Thursday October 20, 2022 at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel.
- 2023 IAM Transportation Conference (April 2-7 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada)
Any Member in good standing and meeting the qualification requirements in Article 2 section H of the Local Lodge 2921 Bylaws will be eligible to run.
Those qualifications are:
a) A minimum of one (1) years continuous good standing in the IAMAW.
b) Attended at least fifty percent (50%) of the regular Local Lodge monthly meetings in the preceding twelve (12) months of their nomination.
Article 2 Section I. A member may be excused from attendance to the Local Lodge monthly meeting due to work schedule, employer out of town assignment, sick leave, bereavement leave, compassionate leave, union business, or scheduled vacation. In these cases, the member will be considered as having been in attendance. Evidence in support of any excused attendance must be provided to the Recording Secretary prior to the nomination meeting.
In order to qualify for this position, you must have signed an IAM card as of October 20, 2021
Any Member wishing to be a Candidate must submit a letter, to the Local Lodge Recording Secretary bearing their signature, that if nominated the said member would accept the nomination.
Included with this letter, there must be a letter signed and sealed from their Local Lodge Recording Secretary attesting the Member is in accordance with the above requirements.Requests for letters to be issued must be sent directly to the recording secretary at Cbarone@iamaw2921.ca
Both these letters must be forwarded to the LL2921 Recording Secretary at cbarone@iamaw2921.ca at least seven (7) days prior to the opening of the nominations (Thursday October 13th, 2022).
