GENERAL CHAIRPERSON ELECTION – CENTRAL REGION
AIRPORT SCREENER POSITION
NOMINATIONS – SEPTEMBER 2023

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Transportation District 140 Bylaws Article 11.03 states that:
“Nominations for General Chairperson(s) will take place at the first (1st) Local Lodge meeting within the affected region during the month of September.”

In accordance with Article 11.01.07 of the Transportation District 140 Bylaws:
“There shall be one (1) General Chairperson designated for the Airport Screeners. This designated General Chairperson shall be nominated by and elected by only those members who are employed as Airport Screeners in the Central Region.
Members represented by this designated General Chairperson are not eligible to vote for the Designated Service, Designated Air Canada or the Designated Central Region Technical Operations, Logistical Supply General Chairperson. They are
eligible to vote for all Central Region AT Large General Chairpersons.”

There will be elections on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, for the Airport Screener Central Region General Chairperson position.

All members who are in “good standing” as per the IAMAW Constitution Article II, Section 04 will be permitted to cast a vote.
