GENERAL CHAIRPERSON ELECTION – WESTERN REGION
(ALBERTA AND NORTHWEST TERRITORIES)
AT LARGE POSITION
NOMINATIONS – SEPTEMBER 2023

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Transportation District 140 Bylaws Article 11.03 states that:
“Nominations for General Chairperson(s) will take place at the first (1st) Local Lodge meeting within the affected region during the month of September.”

In accordance with Transportation District 140 Bylaws article 11.01.09, letter (b):
“There shall be one (1) designated Western Region General Chairperson for Alberta and the Northwest Territories who shall be nominated by and elected AT LARGE by only those members who are employed in and whose Local Lodge is located in
Alberta or the Northwest Territories. Members represented by the designated Alberta and Northwest Territories General Chairperson shall not be eligible to vote for any other General Chairperson in the Western Region.”

There will be elections held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, for the AT Large Western Region Alberta and Northwest Territories General Chairperson position.

All members who are in “good standing” as per the IAMAW Constitution Article II, Section 04 will be permitted to cast a vote.
