TORONTO GARDA MEMBERSHIP
INCENTIVE PROGRAM GRIEVANCES

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
The IAMAW has now concluded the arbitration for the Incentive Program grievances.
We are pleased to report that the IAMAW was successful in these arbitrations and an award was issued.

The Union filed a series of grievances, which now number over three hundred (300), alleging a breach of the Terms
of Garda’s Summer Incentive program.
Several meetings/hearings were held to resolve the outstanding grievance issues.

Arbitrator Keller provide guidance during mediation and awarded those payments for incentives be paid within thirty
(30) days of the award, waived the repayment for those that owed money. Garda has committed that these
payments will be on the last paycheck of this year. Therefore, affected members should see payments soon.
This is a significant award for our Union Members, as this award is worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
