Update- Employer Time Clock
Dear Sisters and Brothers,
The CATSA notice that was posted a few days ago (punch out for break) is in violation of the Canada Labour Code and we have notified Garda that if is actually implemented, they will be in violation of the Canada Labour Code.
We have previously served Garda with a “Notice to Bargain” that provides for a statutory freeze period that stops any material changes to your working rules and conditions until a new agreement is negotiated.
The IAM will fight any changes made during this period and will be filing an unfair labour practice complaint with the labour board if they intend on proceeding.
