IAM EVENTS NOTICE

Please be aware of the following scheduled meetings and events planned for the next few weeks:

 

September 18	Posting and distribution of leaflet informing the screeners of the establishment of Local Lodge 2921 and other information.
September 19	Meeting for all Shop Stewards.  This is a follow up to the meeting held last week.  Purpose is to explore solutions to the issues raised at the first meeting.
September 19	Posting of information about the nominations and elections for new Local Lodge 2921 Executive Board.
September 21	Post notice about Shop Steward meetings and intent behind these meetings.Post notice for nominations for 8 Health and Safety Representatives.
September 24	Posting informing screeners about the nominations and elections of 5 screeners to attend District Lodge 140 convention in Halifax from October 23 to 25.
September 25	AM – Meeting with Lou and Ron and the Negotiations Committee.PM – Meeting with all Stewards and Negots Committee to discuss negotiations issues.
September 26	Town Hall meetings with the screeners working at Terminal 1 and Negots committee from this location.
September 27	Town Hall meetings with the screeners working at Toronto Island and Negots committee from this location.
September 28	Town Hall meetings with the screeners working at Terminal 3 and Negots committee from this location.
September 28	Posting of second elections notice for LL2921 Executive Board. This notice will outline more details including qualifications, job descriptions and eligibility for all positions.
September 29	Meeting in the Pyramid Room at Terminal 3 from 10:00 until 16:00.  This is for all screeners not able to attend prior town hall meetings with Ron, Lou and all Negotiations Committee Members.
October 1	Meeting of the entire Negotiations Committee in-house to review feedback received.
October 1	Deadline for submission of nominations to attend the DL 140 Convention.
October 2	Negotiations Committee meeting with GARDA.
October 8	Planned election date of 5 screeners to attend the DL 140 Convention.
October 9	Post elected candidates to DL 140 Convention.
October 10	Posting of third elections notice for LL2921 Executive Board.  This will explain more details of time and place along with absentee ballot procedures for Executive Board positions being elected.
