Negotiations Update 17 July, 2012
During the week of July 9th, 2012 your Negotiating Committee met to discuss money issues with Garda.
Unfortunately, your Negotiating Committee was unable to reach an agreement as Garda was not prepared to offer a wage and benefit package that we felt would satisfy the needs and requirements for you and your family’s future.
As a result, we have requested that the Federal Government provide conciliation assistance.
We are now in the busy peak summer flying season. We encourage everyone to continue working as normal following the CATSA SOPs, and to remain diligent to ensure that the travelling public will have a safe and secure flight.
Our goal is to reach an agreement that will give you the respect and dignity you deserve.
We will keep you informed of any future developments regarding negotiations.
